Банковская ставка
Официальная ссудная процентная ставка, которая взималась Банком Англии с учетных домов. Банковская ставка использовалась как инструмент денежнокредитной политики, направленной на регулирование экономики страны. В 1972 г. ее заменила минимальная ссудная ставка (minimum lending rate), от которой также отказались в 1984 г. в результате пересмотра государственной экономической политики. В настоящее время официальная процентная ставка устанавливается Комитетом по денежно-кредитной политике (см. Monetary Policy Committee). См. также Base rate.
